I did not expect this Essay to be so funny. I was reading along and I experienced a smile, followed by a giggle. Oklahoma woman alone on a trip to NYC. Okay it's cute I think, then out of nowhere, Time Square, Scarves #99, Pretty Lady and I was laughing so hard I fluffed. For those of you who don't know-- a fluff is a snort laugh that doesn't come from your nose. Well it only took me an hour to read the funniest stories about her trip to NYC. LOVED IT! I need more TMI Mom stories!
I absolutely loved this short quirky story! It made my bad day all better! I read it at night on the kiddle and my poor husband couldnt figure out what I was doing, apparently my belly laughs shaking the bed and out loud snorting were a little disruptive to his sleep! Its a GREAT READ!!! Funny Quirky and just a feel good book! I loved it and will probably read it again just for fun
TMI Mom Bites the Big Apple Essays is an enjoyable read. The author could be yourself, next door neighbor, or bff. Being a tourist anywhere, let alone NY, you can identify with the author, who depicts being a stranger in a big city perfectly.
Heather always delivers a light read that I can't put down. I love her amazing sense of humor. She is so relatable. I didn't want this book to end.
I know I'm late to the game (so what else is new?) but I just now read this and liked it, a lot! I felt as if we were just two friends, talking about life, her experiences a bit more fun than my own. From one smart-a$$ to another, I love you, man!
TMI Mom Bites the Big Apple. Heather Davis might overshare her life JUST A LITTLE - but her life is so much more interesting than mine! When she goes to NYC alone for 24 hours without the husband and kids will she ever be seen again? Don't make eye contact! That's hard to do for a gal from Oklahoma. Who knew you could tweet live from Times Square (it's not square you know).
I started reading TMI Mom Bites the Big Apple while standing in line at the post office, it wasn't long before she had me snort laughing and the other people in line looking at me as if I'd lost my mind. You can't help but relate and secretly be glad you're not alone. I can't imagine anyone not getting a kick out of this book.
